Thoughts of reflection

... Presentation of my artworks in dialogue with philosophical reflections, whose search for meaning is posed in the recurring question "Where do we come from and where are we going?"

My creative journey culminates in my work, which resembles an artistic flow in content and form. My works are large-format watercolours, expansive with emotional depth.

I have been working for more than 25 years almost exclusively on the most precious papers, handmade in Nepal (Kahari Himalayan paper) and in Japan (Awagami handmade paper).

KAHARI paper is the most luxurious paper in the world and is made in rivers in Nepal from the fibres of the poisonous daphne. Its durability of over 500 years is documented. This special paper enables me, through its unique structure of the fibres, combined with its flowing quality, to create my artistic space, that is; to bring my world, as lines and forms in movement and breathing, a dynamic of light and shadow at the same time, into an atmospheric field of tension.

My pictorial worlds are sensitivities and reflections of my feelings juxtaposed with the concentrated elemental power of nature, the capture of liveliness and its timelessness.

Furthermore, I am also known for a direct and expressive drawing in portraits and nudes, an EROTIK of the sight. In terms of content, I move from my emotional concrete world to the universal MYTHS of creation. From this realm of experiences and world concepts I can learn and understand in an appreciative way. It is my horizon as an ART ARIADNE thread, this relation to myself, my way through my labyrinth of DREAM WORLDS in apparent CHAOS and the awakening to be active in the creative.

My world as an artist wanders across space between my experiences of the everyday in comparison to the ideal image of man, a search for the universal in the values of man, detached from current events and the fashions of society, reflecting a timeless search for meaning in life between birth and death. In the space of free-spiritual experience of the emotions, the human being feels happy and free in his thinking and doing, is master of himself.

The form of absolute freedom is not possible without a spiritual and emotional "feeling of freedom". To break norms and to dare new things, to think/act creatively, to trust oneself, to understand one's own talent as a gift and to live this vividly, is the desire of FLYING, the  I K A R U S  thought in man, rainbow / bridge / Ariadne thread in the universe. As AIR SPIRIT, the principles of hope and return travel the eternal route through the timelessness of being beyond all horizons of mirrors.

I am Iris, the eye and the rainbow, ... the daughter of a blind PHILOSOPHER.

Art is my language, my task, is my heritage, my confidence, my passion.

Embedded in the crisis of our present, a change on all levels and restructuring of the social, economic and economic situation towards counteracting an ecocide and meeting our environment/world with a duty of care, it requires the creation of a new consciousness for a togetherness in bearing responsibility for what we do.

Understanding this search as a chance includes first and foremost active learning and working on oneself up to self-satisfaction and self-love in the creative daily work in the individual, as a part for the totality up to gratitude in neighbourly love and the recognition of wholeness as all-encompassing love and respect towards any form of living being. Harmony is the balance as between light and shadow and as the connection of all opposites, thus also their acceptance of all opposites such as GOOD and EVIL, they condition each other. We do not feel one without knowing the presence of the other. The one would not exist without the other.

It is allding, is always the same appearance in the other guise of quality. We, on the other hand, always feel and think in patterns within a model and project current values into it. This focus on the negative and unhappy is the triggering moment to feel unfree and to remain in self-pity. Envy, greed, hatred and anger thus find constant nourishment.

We experience our urges of the hot urge for sexuality and EROTIK, but also we wish to be embedded in security and look for a free space between the animal instinct in the human being up to the true PASSION in the heart and a devotion to serve the highest for sacrifice.

Man is and remains prepotent.

ANYTHING is possible between emergence, blossoming, demise and re-creation; this wonderful fabric is woven from myths and dream worlds!

The realisation of this connection creates harmony. This "space-time transcending value freedom" leads towards harmony, thus becomes the power of all opposites and leads to happy togetherness in and for society, to be human among humans, to be oneself the dreamer and its fulfiller!

This journey through the mirror of all emotions is characterised by joy and sorrow, pain and happiness, between life and death, connected with the constant longing for paradise and hope as the desire to be happy, all the way to entering the "Golden Age", the Hortus  S E C R E T U S , our daily EDEN.

I am of the opinion that we had to leave paradise in order to be allowed to seek IT! THE chance to feel alive, to EXPERIENCE emotions consciously!

This path as a goal in the form of breathing and movement, WORK for the formation of consciousness and realisation, is an incessant omnipresent flow of light as PASSION and love in the heart, a journey between the first to the youngest horizon.

Nothing remains eternal; becoming and changing of being is interwoven in constant metamorphosis (cf. Ovid). It is our CREATION, timeless since the beginning.

We are all together the salt of the earth, together in the flow of life and carry the creative light in doing on our way; praising the living love to be treasure - and EARTH CARE of our self.

Everything is One and EVERYTHING flows ... Panta Rhei (cf. Heraclitus) ~ EVERYTHING belongs TOGETHER *
